Alteo Guinea is proud to have contributed to the workshop organized by ECDPM and UNIDO on April 30, 2025, in Brussels, alongside the Guinean government, European partners, and numerous stakeholders involved in transforming the critical raw materials sector.

This multi-stakeholder dialogue confirmed a strong conviction: developing local skills is essential for sustainable industrialization. It is in this spirit that Alteo Guinea is firmly committed to the EFAG project – École de Formation de l’Alumine en Guinée (Alumina Training School in Guinea), a Center of Excellence dedicated to training qualified technical profiles in the fields of chemistry, industrial mechanics, welding, and electricity.

EFAG is not an isolated project. It is part of a long-term vision, supported by the public-private partnership between Alteo, the Guinean government, and UNIDO, and aligned with both national and European ambitions (Global Gateway, Critical Raw Materials Act).

Objectives:

  • Train a skilled local workforce, reducing dependence on expatriate labor.
  • Build bridges between industry and education.
  • Promote the emergence of a network of Guinean SMEs capable of integrating the alumina value chain.

Alteo Guinea thanks all the partners involved and reaffirms its commitment to a mutually beneficial development model, where industrial investment goes hand in hand with inclusion, sustainability, and skills sovereignty.
