Cooperation: Guinea signs partnership agreement to strengthen skills in alumina extraction and processing

The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation and the Ministry of Technical Education, Vocational Training, and Employment signed a public-private partnership for development with ALTEO Alumina and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on Monday, June 24, 2024. This project, which is part of efforts to strengthen local skills, aims to train more than 800 senior technicians by 2027, including 100 executives specializing in alumina extraction and processing. To this end, the Conakry Alumina Training School (EFAC) will be built to provide both technical and vocational training as well as higher education of excellence. It will lead to mastery of techniques and technologies in the context of setting up an alumina refinery in our country, Guineematin.com learned through one of its reporters.
